USA 250

United States of America's 250th Celebrations
Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of visionaries gathered in Philadelphia to risk everything for an audacious idea: that a nation could be founded not on the lineage of kings, but on the inherent rights of its people. When the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776, the United States was a fragile collection of thirteen colonies with a population of roughly 2.5 million. Today, we stand as a continental power of over 330 million, still striving to form that "more perfect union."
The Semiquincentennial or USA250 is more than just a milestone, it is a nationwide homecoming. From the small villages that housed the original Minutemen to the booming Western metropolises that represent our continued growth, every corner of this country has a story to tell.
