Colts Neck Township for 2016-17NEW- STEM Coach, Phillip Capasso- effective September 1, 2016The Colts Neck Township Schools welcomes Mr. Capasso to the position of STEM CoachNEW- Innovation Labs in CRPS, CRES, and CDMSThe Innovation Labs, follow the mindset of MakerSpaces, and will be included in the Related Arts schedule this year. The Innovation Labs, will include inquiry based learning activities, where students can build upon their ability to collaborate, "tinker", and familiarize themselves with the Design and Modeling process. We are happy to see the addition of two Tower Gardens, at each building, that will be incorporated into the Innovation Labs.NEW- 1:1 District-Issued Device in 4th GradeThe 4th grade students, at CRES, will be receiving a district-issued device for daily use at school as well as at home. In Colts Neck, we believe in cultivating our "digital natives" into productive cyber-citizens who access and generate information through a safe, online learning platform. The district's Student Digital 1:1 Handbook provides parents/guardians and students with valuable information pertaining to Board Policies, expectations for a student's use of a district-issued device, maintenance, and care.NEW- Grades K-2 EnrichmentStudents in grades K-2 will now have the opportunity to have Mrs. Main at CRPS. She will be facilitating the enrichment program, in ELA and math, for our students. The program will include whole class and targeted enrichment opportunities.
