COLTS NECK TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION
VACANCY
The Colts Neck Township Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates for membership to the Board. The Board, within the powers delegated to it by law, is the policy-making legislative branch of the School District.
This term will run until January 2024. The position will be placed on the ballot at the November 2023 General Election.
Qualifications:
- A citizen of the United States of America
- At least 18 years of age
- Able to read and write
- A resident of the Colts Neck Township municipality for at least (1) year preceding the date of appointment
- Not disqualified from membership for the conviction of crimes pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1.
- Not directly/indirectly interested in a contract with a claim against the Board
- Registered to vote in the District
- Not disqualified as a voter pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1

Letters of interest, resumes and Certification of Qualifications will be accepted through Monday, August 29, 2022, until 4:00 p.m.
The Board of Education will review all qualifying applicants. Interviews may be conducted in public or executive session during the August 31, 2022 Board meeting. The Board of Education may make said appointment at the August 31, 2022 meeting or at a future meeting. The successful candidate will need to undergo a criminal background check upon appointment.
