The Employee Health Benefits website offers you up-to-date information about the health benefits available to you as an eligible Colts Neck Township School District employee. It is suggested that you check this page regularly to find the latest on your benefits.
The District currently offers medical/prescription and dental plans through Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey to all its full-time employees. Employees are considered full-time if they work 30 hours per week. Coverage for new employees starting September 1st is effective immediately. Employees hired after September 1st have a 60-day waiting period.
The medical plan that you select will also include vision insurance through Horizon Davis Vision. You will receive a separate card from Davis Vision. Your Davis Vision member ID will be the same as your Horizon member ID, but will be through the affiliated company, not Horizon Directly.
As per New Jersey law (Chapter 78, P.L. 2011), all employees are required to contribute towards the cost of the medical and prescription plans. Contributions are based on the salary charts established by the State of Jew Jersey. Currently, all employees contribute at Year “4”. Employee contributions are made on a pre-tax basis.
