The CRES art program cultivates and encourages the development of each individual to their fullest potential as an individual by fostering an appreciation and an understanding of the arts as they relate to world cultures and historical influences throughout the years.
The art curriculum in Grades 3, 4, and 5 utilize aesthestic knowledge, art elements and principles, various arts skills, media and methods in the creation and presentation of visual art.
In Art class, students are given the opportunity to create, understand and appreciate art works,
artists, artistic processes and the meaning of art in different cultures.
Students are engaged in a variety of challenging opportunities which include drawing, painting,
printmaking, scultpture and a variety of designs..
Look for student art work that is displayed throughout the year in the hallways of our building as well as on the website in the Art Gallery.
